VA Design Group’s practice is to explore a harmonious relationship between design engineering and the natural environment through the development of tropical architecture.
A firm dedicated to architectural, interiors and structural design, our studio was founded on the belief that designs should connect with their landscape and achieve true environmental and design sustainability.
The architects and engineers of VA Design Group form an interdisciplinary team, where experience and teamwork are combined, always discovering new design solutions to develop each project.
For each of our preliminary (pre-designs) projects, a study is carried out where the environmental components of the property and the client’s needs are analyzed to convert these challenges into design opportunities. Several 3D and 2D documents are created to present to our clients the design and concept of the project, covering all the needs of the project.
In structural design, we provide technical solutions to projects guaranteeing the structural safety of buildings and their users, in accordance with architectural design and local and international design codes.
We help our clients not only in the architecture, but also in the interior design and style that responds to their needs and tastes. We see this process as a single one, in which the project ends up harmonizing completely from the spatiality to the architectural level as well as its internal design.
We guide the technical supervision during the construction time, as well as the contractor throughout the project to obtain a complete result, making weekly visits to the projects and ensuring constant communication. To keep our clients up to date with the process, we provide them progress reports and a list of pending jobs for all those involved in this process.
We are a team, dedicated to providing consulting services in architecture and structural engineering, with a focus on the high-end residential market, as well as commercial and hospitality, maintaining an environmental commitment and social responsibility in an area of the country privileged by its natural beauty such as Nosara, Guanacaste. BIO:
Civil Engineer graduated with honors from Universidad Latina in 2005. With over 15 years of experience. Alonso has a successful career developing projects in Costa Rica, México and Peru. With his vision, passion and profound belief in team work and perseverance he founded VA Design in 2021. Supported with a great team composed of professionals in architecture and engineering, specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects.
BIO:
Graduated from the School of Architecture of the Universidad Central de Costa Rica, with more than 12 years of experience in the design of large scale projects and residences with high level of detail and finishes.
He’s known for his ability in the coordination and leadership of projects with engineering firms and different parties involved in the project development process, from the conceptualization phase to the completion of the project.
He’s passionate about the implementation and design of projects oriented to sustainable development with nature and the creation of unique experiences for our users/customers.
