Casa Ananda

Casa Ananda was a project entrusted to us by a young couple of artists who had an idea to do a project Bali-inspired from the Sanskrit Ānanda – आनन्द, which means bliss and divine joy. The land to develop the project had a water course that crosses the property from left to right, which generated a great challenge to develop the project. Using this condition as a design advantage, we generated an access bridge to the main module and raised the project with columns to respect the natural condition of the land and used this as an attraction.

We decided to reinforce the tropical style that the clients wanted with a set of gable roofs having steep slopes generating angles in the eaves to protect the terraces. We wanted to create a central axis as a visual route which allowed us to divide the project into separate modules all aligned and connected to this central axis. Many details were brought from Bali and placed in specific places for a spiritual reason, dazzling the space every day with a special atmosphere.
